CHANGELOG
WHAT WE ARE BUILDING
The public record of how OPA evolves — the site and the platform. Every version, what changed and why, without the jargon. Each point ends with its technical name, explained.
Current versionv0.9Beta
Foundations
A month rebuilding the base. The site went from invisible to Google to readable in two languages, and the internal platform was born so information stops getting lost in chats.
opamedia.co
- New
Readable by Google and AI search engines
The site now delivers its full content — services, method, team, positioning — already assembled. Before, it arrived nearly empty and to Google it was as if OPA said nothing.
Called SEO — the techniques that get Google to show the page when someone searches for what we do. The version for AI search engines is called AEO/GEO, and the method behind it is prerendering: serving the page assembled instead of blank.
- New
English site with its own address (/en)
English is no longer hidden behind a button; it is a real page now, with its own web address, aimed at the US market.
Called SEO internacional — hreflang tags tell Google which version to show based on the searcher’s language.
- New
A frequently-asked-questions page, in Spanish and English
Answers to what comes up in every first conversation: what it costs, what a production includes, how an agency differs from a production company.
Called datos estructurados — marking up the questions so Google can show them directly in the results.
- NewFree
Free guide: “Find your story”
It went through a few rounds: first a plain download, then an interactive version to fill in online, and today it can be completed on the web, downloaded blank, or printed. Whoever uses it leaves their email and lands straight in the platform.
Called lead magnet — a free, useful resource given in exchange for a prospect’s email.
- New
Portfolio section
The space where cases are shown is built, connected to the platform so it can be updated without touching code. Ready for the first pieces.
Called CMS — a content management system: the tool to edit what appears on the web from a panel, without coding.
- Improved
Presentation and experience
We redesigned the “how we work” section, added an invitation to reach out at the end of each case, shortened the form, and fixed the image that showed when sharing the site.
Called UX · Open Graph — UX is the experience of using it; Open Graph is the image shown when a link is shared.
- Fixed
Faster loading
The homepage thumbnails dropped from 2.4 MB to 137 KB, and the fonts are now served from the site itself. Less waiting, especially on mobile.
Called rendimiento — what is technically called performance: how heavy the page is and how long it takes to load.
tech.opamedia.co
Why “beta”? The platform doesn't do everything we want yet. We're building it so that, over time, it guides every client through the whole process, start to finish. Until it gets there, we mark it beta and track its progress here.
- New
Talent — a database of collaborators
Everyone who writes offering to work, organized by craft, with their contact, reel and the message they sent. So when a sound person is missing on Tuesday, the answer is there and not buried in a chat.
Called CRM — a contact manager: a database built to follow up with people, not just store them.
- New
Portfolio management
Create, edit and publish the cases that appear on the site, from the panel and without depending on anyone.
Called CMS — it is the other half of the site’s portfolio: here you write, there it shows.
- New
Downloads and contacts
Shows who downloaded the guide. Along the way, we fixed a case where a contact wasn’t saved and got lost silently.
Called captura de leads — collecting and not losing the details of potential clients.
- Improved
Access and security
Password recovery for clients and reinforcements in the protection of their data.
Called autenticación — how the platform verifies who you are and protects your information.
- Improved
Full review
We audited both platforms top to bottom — security, speed, accessibility — and left step-by-step guides for the Google profile and the directories.
Called auditoría — reviewing everything in depth to find problems before a client does.
Weight and deploys
Maintenance: the site slimmed down and its publishing got steady.
opamedia.co
- Fixed
Videos 71% lighter
The reel and background videos were recompressed with no visible loss, so the page opens faster.
- Fixed
Share preview, robots and sitemap
The image shown when sharing the link is back, and the files that tell Google what to index were restored.
tech.opamedia.co
- Fixed
Portal publishing fixed
A config rule excluded the portal by mistake and broke its deploys; resolved.
Proposals, the OPA way
The commercial heart of the platform: proposals that look like OPA and a panel to build them.
- New
Proposals as an interactive deck
Each proposal opens as a slide-by-slide deck, with a cinematic intro and mobile-first navigation.
- New
Editor with each client’s branding
The panel builds proposals with the client’s colors and logo, with live preview and reusable templates.
Called white-label — white-label: the same tool wears each client’s identity.
- New
Proposal analytics and heatmap
You can see who opened a proposal, what they looked at and where they clicked, with an in-house heatmap.
Called mapa de calor — heatmap: a picture of where clicks and attention concentrate on a page.
- Improved
View as client, dark mode, PDF and multi-user
Preview the portal exactly as the client sees it without polluting analytics, dark mode across the admin, PDF download and several authorized emails per client.
The studio, inside
The platform stopped being a single account: it went multi-studio and added a production company’s tools.
- New
Multi-studio with isolated data
Each studio lives on its own subdomain and sees only its own data, with database-level security rules.
Called multi-tenant — multi-tenant (RLS): one platform that keeps each client’s data separated and safe.
- New
Production hub
Locations, crew, call sheets, gear rentals and lead capture, all in one place.
- New
Finance and operations
Time tracking, budget, payments and cash flow, with CSV export.
- Improved
Automatic emails and a test net
Transactional emails, an audit log of critical actions and automated tests so a change doesn’t break what already worked.
Called tests E2E — automated tests that walk the app like a real user before shipping.
The platform is born
The first brick of tech.opamedia.co: accounts, clients and the studio’s CRM.
- New
Portal with secure access
Its own login, user and password management, and files connected to Google Drive.
- New
The studio’s CRM
Projects, opportunities, clients and invoices on one board, with commercial metrics.
Called CRM — customer relationship manager: the base to never lose track of a client or a deal.
- New
Questionnaires and quotes
A client questionnaire editor and versioned quotes, attached to the client’s files.
- New
Installable as an app
The portal can be added to the phone’s home screen and open like an app.
Called PWA — progressive web app: a page that installs and feels like an app, without an app store.
Narrative and measurement
The site found its voice and began measuring who arrives.
- New
New OPA narrative across the site
The whole message was rewritten to tell why OPA matters, not just what it does.
- New
Web analytics
Visit and key-action tracking was integrated, like “let’s talk” clicks and form submissions.
Called analítica — measuring how many people arrive, from where and what they do, to decide with data.
- Improved
Design system and identity guide
Colors, typography and brand voice were documented in a single source of truth.
Called sistema de diseño — a single catalog of styles so everything looks and sounds coherent.
Redesign 2.0
The visual leap: new logo, new manifesto and the before/after slider.
- New
Full site redesign
New structure, new services and a navigable process section; the site moved to its 2.0 version.
- New
Before / after slider
A slider shows raw footage against the final result, so the value of the work is visible.
- New
New logo, manifesto and official reel
The visual identity and the studio’s official reel debuted.
Color and character
The site’s first decisions of visual personality.
- New
Section color and new typography
Bold section colors, with blue as the accent, and the switch to the Excon typeface.
- New
Custom cursor and splash
A cursor with the OPA wordmark and a splash effect on click, to give it character.
The first site
The starting point: OPA’s first public version on the web.
- New
OPA site launch
The studio’s first page, with its manifesto, services and a contact section.
- New
Contact form and video comparison
A form to receive projects and a first before/after video comparison.
